# How do I get started with Portainer?

To get started with Portainer, you will first need to install it on your infrastructure. We recommend starting with our [Install Guide](https://install.portainer.io/) - it will give you an overview of containers, Portainer, the system requirements to run Portainer as well as step by step guides to install on your specific platform and environment.
